The stock headers are pretty easy to modify if you know a good welder. You need to cut a short section (I think 1/2 in.) out of the pipe between the 4 way and the slip on, reweld keeping the original orientation and bingo, no more dragging.
Stock headers are listed on fleabay all the time, so fear not!
High dollar full exhaust systems are not necesary with the 91-98 2 valve unless you have a hot rod engine that includes ported heads and short intake manifolds.
