Bike is running perfect now after chasing down its only gremlin: electrical. Anyone out there with a mint V drive semi v hull (preferred) that seats 4 and are willing to trade? Bike has over $10K in mods. One of the finest examples of the early 916, the one without the rocker problems (rare anyway). Just took second in a superbike contest in Nor Cal. I redid the suspension in a 2.5 year layoff due to a bad crash. I lucked out, the bike handles like no bike I have ridden before, even against my 999S. Aftershocks rebuilt my rear Ohlins with new spring, converted forks from a 996 (tin coat) and calipers with 65mm spacing, steel braided lines, ALTH full floating rotors, and light weight Marchesini wheels. Slapped on there without regard to any adjusting and its perfect. I had two AFM racers take it out and they were flabergasted at the stability and grunt of the bike. Power delivery was helped by a one down front sprocket and better air flow with a cf MS production airbox with BMC internal filters and gutted cf air runners. Comfort package included a Sargent seat and FBF risers. The bike is amazing.
