Default From 750 SS 1974/75 factory brochure/poster

Perhaps this could be in the Ducati section, but even non-Ducati people might get a kick out of this, from an original Ducati factory brochure/poster (1974/75 I guess):

This is the fastest, strongest bike in the whole world production, no bragging.

This is the same bike that placed one-two at the first IMOLA 200 Miles in 1972.

Same engine, same comp. ratio, same type of special conrods, machined one by one out of solid billets of chrome-moly steel, superstrong.

And same desmodromic heads, an all Ducati specialty since 1958. No one has been able to duplicate this unique valve actuation system which features outstanding benefits in terms of extra performances and engine safety. Top speed is in excess of 140 mph in stock conditions and with the optional high final transmission ratio, the ¼ mile is burned in an E.T. much lower than 12 secs.

No other bike can offer you such blinding performances in stock condition.

But the Ducati 750 SS has a lot more to give to the purist. First are handling and road holding. The steering geometry, some other bike never heard of it, is the same of the 1973 Imola lap record setter. It’s a super scratcher, but you do not ground much, especially when you install the racing kit, which includes high raise exhaust system and megaphones. This is an option that includes Imola high lift cams, full fairing (you already get a half fairing as standard equipment), carbs jets, cold spark plugs, a whole series of rear sprockets in order to adjust the gearing to the track. Well, of course, in this set up the bike is obviously intended for racing. As a standard equipment you get the stopping power of three discs. That is safety, folks.

The 750 SS is the only bike you can go racing as it is, and win, yet it is the most exclusive roadster ever produced, for the ultimate fulfilment of your bold ego.
