You guys are funny you sound like a bunch of seniors who just graduated HS hanging out at the local spot wondering where'd everyone go???

This was a GREAT forum (RC51 section) but like everything else in life the RC era is pretty much over due to some other great bikes. Does that mean this place sucks now? No......but we were spoiled with a lot of net traffic and good ppl who were knowledgeable about this specific bike and now a good portion of them have moved onto other bikes.

The one thing that I ALWAYS enjoyed about this [RC] following was the majority of ppl who came and gone WERE, what I call, true enthusiasts of the sport, not squids, posers or Xtreme riders (ala starboyz). We 'used' to get a lot of great insight from ppl who knew what they were talking about......I still come here hoping to find a good read and ya know what, every so often it happens. BWhip made good on that in the general forum with his latest informative article about 'using the whole track'. Good read for anyone who might of passed up on it.

The one thing I will say is no other track bike (SV, R6's & GSXR750) Ive ever owned has a forum with this level of maturity, good natured ribbing and useful information as this forum had/has. The R6 forum being close but not quite a match. An example of what Im talking about.......a few yrs back I had an '04 R6 with a Penske and reworked front end.....since I was so unfamiliar with the set up on this bike I started a thread asking what kind of numbers were ppl using at both ends, other than silence, the overall theme was bring it to GMD, Traxxion or whomever like we did.......why should we share that info on our dime. That's when I knew I was dealing with a 'different' mindset.......the RC crowd spoiled me/us to no end. Back in the day, it didnt matter who dropped coin we'd share our info and that is what made this place special.

So will we ever come together, in the future, the way the RC did 8 short yrs ago?!?!?
Time will tell but I, for one, will be back big time if they ever release a V4 600 or 1kRR.....(Shhhh dont tell Larry) I dont think a 1200CC RC will do it for me unless it tips the scales in on under or at 400#. It's been 'my' experience that the RC just weighs too much for track use. My buddies have confirmed that observation, as much as I wanted to make the RC my track bike I just couldnt get my times down as I have on my R6 and now even moreso on my GSXR750. The group I ride even went as far to tell me that Ive made the most improvements in my riding this past season on my stock suspended zook. The bike simply rocks, I miss the grunt but everthing else powerwise is an improvement and in the handling dept, even stock, was a major improvement over my RC due to mostly the lightweight IMO. Now I'll be upgrading both ends when I get some garage time and I cant wait to see if I can break the plateau I was stuck at for so long on the RC. Anyway, moving on can be a good thing.

Oh and Rigor never liked you ppl.
