One thing that needs to be said regarding this whole sordid tale:
With carbon fiber, you get what you pay for. The reputable suppliers out there charge more because the molding process and setup are more involved and require more time. If you can find fenders, tanks, ariboxes, etc. for hundreds less on ebay, you are taking your chances with product reliability and quality control. They cost less for a reason. It does not excuse what happened to these buyers, but does anyone else wonder why we all pay top dollar for arguably the most expensive bikes on the market (Ducati), but then scour the globe and internet in an effort to save $25 on a carbon fender?
