OK....well, I wasn't aware of the other thread...(Mountains out of Mole hills comment..

) but if you're asking if the 2 lines/hoses have anything to do with why your bike won't idle, the answer is no.
Check and make sure you plugged the open vacuum port on the front throttle body, after removing the vacuum reservoir canister line.
Make sure you plugged your Baro sensor, (on top the airbox) back in.
Run the overflow line to the bottom of the bike. Having fuel drip on the ground in front of your rear tire isn't a great idea, but it's better then having it spill onto a hot engine. You can hook it up to a small catch-can if you want.
Lastly, are you sure that all this "2 mile" to work and back driving isn't fouling your plugs?
