i absolutely love this bike but my friend is selling me his track 998, so i want to upgrade
here are the details:
996 engine with:
pistal high comp pistons
sps cams
carbon fiber airbox, single injector
built by BCM in fall 06, and since then has had 5 track days, runs like a swiss clock. have all reciepts for the build. excellent grunt and reliability.
DP carbon exhaust with matched chip.
sharkskins, red with white # plates
axlejack rearsets and bcm shift pedals
woodcraft clutch cover
stock ohlins shock and showa TiNi forks set up for 180lbs
ohlins steering damper.
new 4 pad calipers
speedimoto under bodywork frame sliders, small battery
other small things, like brass quick disconnects, im sure im forgetting something.
this bike was put together from a wrecked 996 internals transplanted into a new ducati frame, and since was never laid down. i have reciepts with all the numbers, and a clear vermont title - as a custom bike. (will save on insurance). it can be registered for the street - all stock wiring is intact, but i dont have any of the street bodywork.
this is a really well setup track bike. i turned 1.24 at summit shannondoah; very forgiving with fantasic brakes and accel. however as a track bike it has its share of scratches, dings and imperfections. will try to post some pics here, but if you want high res pics of any part of the bike, pls let me know.
i will be at mosport in canada this weekend, and in calabogie in aug with tpm. bike is NYC.
