03 1000ss. I removed the rear wheel to have a new tire fitted. No problem using the service manual.
When reinstalling though, the whole wheel assembly (which includes the beveled washer on the sprocket side and the rear brake bracket on the rotor side) does not seem to fit in between the end of the swing arm. It seems the swing arm flexes inward enough to not allow the wheel assembly to slide in between from behind.
Has anybody encountered this and what did you do to get the wheel on?
