haha, yeah that's what i did. mangled them up.
i dremeled off the extraneous parts, and used the bicycle bottom bracket facing tool to re-square them back up. worked just great.
as expected, the swingarm pivot needed to be oblong by maybe 1/16 in. but, since the motor i got used 12mm bolts i used the 12 in the front, 10mm on the rear one and the swingarm pivot straight thru. i'll eventually make the hole oblong, and have a spacer made to fill in the gap above, so i can have both bolts be 12mm, but until then this will do.
changing up the cross brace looks to be easy. it's actually tempting to just leave it off, as upon close examination of the SS frame it was barely braced at all.
i'll post pics in a day or two.
OH, what did you end up doing about the fuel lines. is one of the tank attachments a return line? if no, can i just delete the return line at the throttle bodies?
