Default Re: Trailer info poll (john S.)

I have a Pace American (CargoSport) 8x10 leaf spring single axle enclosed trailer with one side door and the whole rear is a ramp/door. To move 2 Ducs - it is perfect. What I like is the width.

It weighs a bit more than some with the changes I made to it. I have a lot of stuffin there and the only thing I make sure of before a trip is to make sure tongue weight is ok. I anchor my bikes slightly behind the single axle to reduce the front weight bias. It does great behind my 5.7 V8 Chev Tahoe. But, it was too much for my Grand Cherokee 4.2 6 cyl.

It has a huge sealed aluminum cargo box on the tongue, indoor outdoor carpet, 9 flush anchor points on the floor, 4 on the vertical beams, enclosed marine batteries at the front, inverter, color TV, Video recorder, 3 full length shelves on the left, wall hangers on the right, non slip coated door/ramp, pair of 20" flourscent lamps on ceiling, one solar powered vent on the back ceiling and one powered fan for the front ceiling, vents at the rear, usually 2 full cans of gas, full set of tools including a small lift, full racing gear. Oh yeah, and 2 big solar panels on the roof to charge the batteries.

I've gone up and down the West coast with no problems.

I got my trailer from Carson Trailers in Carson, CA But pace has a dealer locator: http://www.paceamerican.com/in...cator
