My New Years resolution is convincing my wife I need an enclosed trailer for transporting my bike on longer runs like the track or far out twisties that take hours of slabbin to get there. I just feel like I need one and have done some preliminary research so far. I'm looking at an enclosed model to accomodate two bikes. 6' wide is OK, but that doesn't leave much wiggle room after two bikes are in there. I suppose 10' length is OK with a single axle but tandem is said to track better, holds more weight and is more stable overall. With a tandem I would move up to 12' or maybe even 14' if the deal is right. However, everytime you move up a feature, the price jumps accordingly, just like anything else. My ideal trailer will be a 7x12 with tandem axle. I know the range of manufacturers is fairly broad, most seem adequate and similar in the quality department.

I would like to know from those out there; especially with trailers that are slightly smaller and with a SINGLE axle, what do you think?

Various sources for preferably used units would be helpful. Thanks
