Hi everyone. I am a new member and am enjoying reading the posts and helpful hints here. The expertise comes in handy. I am looking for some help from anyone who has ever had to do this. I got a new tank to replace my damaged one from a crash, and need to swap all the tank parts from the old to the new. I unscrewed the hex heads to get the lock plug piece off, and then the very small hex screws (that go horizontal into the groove around the lower lip on the tank) that hold the plug ring in place. I have all the visible screws out, but the unit still won't budge. I don't want to force it out and all the schematics show that it should just come out. Some kind of super sealant holding it in place that I then just need to muscle out, or am I missing something? Any help is greatly appreciated.
