You're right. In fact, why bother with open wheel racing at all? Let's dumb her down and take her straight to NASCAR for the masses!
Race fans have already heard of Legge, and if Danica looked like Janet Reno she'd still be in Atlantics, she'd be finishing behind Legge, and you never would have heard of her.
The "woman driver" novelty only goes so far (Sarah Fisher, Shawna Robinson, Deborah Renshaw). The "hot chick" thing has already taken Danica and the IRL a little farther. But it's getting out of control! Yesterday an AP writer suggested Danica is the Tiger Woods of open wheel racing. What? At least Tiger actually wins occasionally!
Legge might be the real deal who can use her ability to race to the top. She doesn't need the IRL for that. Champ Car has a bigger fan base and is certainly more respected in the racing world.
