the motors are the same with the s2r. if you want to stay on the sportin side, just put clip-ons on the s2r and you'll have similar position but virtually no wind protection.
that said... with the upcoming release of the 1000 powered s2r in '06, any left over '05 1000ss bikes oughta be real easy to negotiate price-wise!
