Default Re: older SS for touring (mortoduc)

Totally agree,

I have ridden a variety of bikes, but the ol’ carbatooted SS’s just fit me perfectly (6’2”). I once rode my 600SS from London to Firenze (Florence in Italy, about a thousand miles I believe – can’t be sure, the speedo cable broke on the ferry across the Channel...) with out a sore bum. I think the power delivery is just spot on, and the handling so friendly - makes for easy and rapid cruising.

So of course I’ve got a 900 Superlight V now (600 is now a 674 trackbike – I’ll never sell her) and a pair of FCR’s from Chris K in a box in the garage... this weekend I’ll be a tinkering . I hear you boys really rate them?!

Max.
