Just took a 700 mile trip up into Montana (do they have speed limits up there?) on my 1997 SS/SP and it was awesome! 80-90 mph all day, comfortable and ran like a charm. I put on a mag RKA tank bag, some RKA saddlebags and a rear seat bag, and a Throttle Boss and had a ball. This is also my trackday bike... talk about versatility! The new ones may have fuel injection and have been redesigned to look more modern by Terblanche (not necessarily good), but the pre-1999 SS is a wonderful beast!
