Hi Everybody,
So I got bored recently with the look of the bike so I decided to custom-fabricate a piece of it (because I lost two bids on eBay for a REAL 999 front). So I sat down with the stock piece and some fiberglass and started laying up a poorman's design out of it.
The Problem: Alright, so the problem is that when I hook up the HIDs to what I wired up from the original H4 wires, it only allows the upper or the lower kit to run, and not simultaneously. To my knowledge, the power gets to it because the lower ballast would then flicker, but it would stay off. I know that HIDs draw the most power upon startup. Is it probable that the battery can't handle one running and the other starting up at the same time? If it's a wiring issue, then let me know because I was thrown off when I saw two yellow wires acting as the highbeam power. I really want to have both projectors up and running when I flip the highbeam switch. For reference, it's a Lexus RX330 projector with a Philips 6000k HID kit.
Sorry if it looks really squidish or like a ricer trying to pose to be a 999. It's what happens when you give an import tuner guy a bike. Any input about my HID problem would be appreciated!
