when i store my bikes over winter i fill them full of gas with stabilizer- don't fill tank with gas then just pour stabil in -you need to stir /shake it to mix gas and stabil thoroughly. When I store a tank off the bike or for an extended time I empty all the gas and put a pint of good 2-stroke oil in it and make sure the whole inside is coated and roll the oil around at least ounce a year.When i start running it i just drain the oil out and don't flush it because the little bit of 2-stroke oil left in the tank won't leave any carbon or residue on the plugs , valves combustion chamber.
