Default jetting for stock pipes

Well here is my current headache...I own the 95 900SS\CR with stock carbs, stock pipes, a k&n filter using airbox without snorkels installed, a stage 2 jet kit ( 144 main jet, fuel mix screw 3.5 out, clip is 3rd from top I think). Bike also has FBF cams and FBF pistons, which I'm not sure how that is gonna affect the whole combustion process here. I used to have Yoshi pipes and ran the stage 2 kit with a 150 main jet and a stock filter, and the thing pulled like a freight trane down low all the way to red....Now I got this out for first ride today and it has no power at all untill about 5k or so,gas was dripping out of the boot under the air box. Should I go back to 140 main jet size and what clip adjustment would be suitable along with air mix screw setting? I wonder what else I could be forgetting....
