So I took the CR for a nice rip through some of the curvies yesterday with a friend on a 748. We pulled over so I could make a biohazard break, I zipped back up, threw on the rest of the gear, turned the key, pressed the starter and -zip-. Headlight, instrument panel, everything went black.

Checked battery connections, and every connection I could get to. Checked all the fuses. Turned the key again, and back on came all the lights. This time it started, but with a good hesitation before the starter motor turned.

In my experiance, if a solinoid goes, it simply wont start, but I've never seen it shut off the lights and the dash. Considering the stock one has close to 40K on it, I figure its due for replacement anyways. But does anyone have any insight into the weird dash problem? I'm going to tear the front end apart tonight and check all the connections.

Just... weird. Bloody Ducati and their electrics.
