I don't know about racing, but the SS is on its way to being a track bike. I need to call BCM about how to support the racetail in the back. Right now it is only attached on the side, where the original side panels were attached. Then I need to paint and get a foam seat. I am getting a set of OEM fairings instead of Sharkskinz. Someone made me an offer I couldn't refuse
