I took the whole lid off and did the high performance zip tie mod. I like the new found intake noise that was never there before. My mechanic had done it for me by surprise at the 6K service and neglected to tell me. When I first started it up it scared the hell out of me. It was then when he remembered that he had taken it off and gave me the box with all my stock equipment in it. I run it with Remus pipes and the DP ecu, and haven't had any cough or sputtering since taking the airbox off. I also deleted all the emissions stuff as well, but I'm not sure that's had much of an effect on performace.
