you don't need to remove the wheel to see if it's the same size as the front. i KNOW your front axle's a 25mm. to find out if your rear is also the same size, use a ruler, tape measure, dial caliper and measure the inner diameter of the front and rear axles. you don't have to be super-accurate. if the rear's a 20mm unit, there'll be a significant enough difference in I/D that you'll tell easily.
IF!!! your rear IS in fact a 25mm axle (same diameter in front), then you should be able to fit ST4S rims or monster S4 rims on. your 1000 should have a 5.5" wheel in back which is the same width as the ST4S and monster S4's.
