It's an 02... All that cold start lever does is is raise the idle. It is not a choke or enrichener circuit like on a carb bike. It makes a nice cruise control on the highway! If the pipes and the airbox are modded, the bike will definitely benefit form a remapping of some sort. You will probably find you have a lean pop out of the airbox at 4k or so. A PC or re-flash will do wonders for you.
