Between my Fiance and I, we own a 2004 749S, a 2001 900SS, and a 2002 M750S. We just got the 749 in October, so I haven't been able to ride it much. The 900SS has 14,000 miles on it in 2 1/2 seasons worth of riding. I don't think I'll ever sell it. That being said, I haven't touched the SS since we got the 749. I love the 749! It is just as comfortable as the SS. You do have a tough choice. I don't care for the 749dark because of the lower grade components. The 1000DS motor has got to be a real stump puller.
