Yup I stumbled across the fact that the late-model GSXR forks will pretty much drop right into the SS's while I was looking for some info on the Ohlins site. The upper and lower diameters and the mounting length (axle to top of cap) are the same. So getting the forks on was no problem at all... easier than fitting a set of SBK forks even! Only thing that had to change is I had a set of spacers machined up to kick the rotors outward by 3.5mm on each side, a couple spacers to center the wheel on the GSXR axle including the stock SS speedo drive, and machined down the stock GSXR left-side spacer a bit for the same purpose. The GSXR axle is a 25mm center section just like the SS, so no trouble there, I can take the Marchesini's off the bike and drop them on a stock SS merely by removing the rotor spacers. Rotors are still 320mm diameter, 10mm offset, stock Ducati dimension items. Marchesini's are for the 99-2001/2 SS/Monsters with the 25mm front axle and 17mm rear.
Springs are a bit stiffer I'm told (talked to GP Suspension about them), but I'm actually planning on getting them revalved/resprung here in a bit. Probably have GP tackle that one.
If anybody is interested I have a couple Autocad drawings that have the dimensions I've used to make everything fit. Eventually I'll write up all the mods I did with observations and such, haven't gotten that far though

.
The fender on there right now is the cheap fiberglass Sebimoto one from Yoyodyne. Decent part, but I'd eventually like to get a carbon one and also know now there is some reshaping I want to do... especially notching out a spot for the speedo drive cable to go through. Right now its pretty snug between the fender and fork leg. Plus that fender is a royal PITA to get off the forks, basically impossible without removing lots of other parts... so I think I'd reshape it with that partially in mind too.
Most importantly, I haven't ridden this setup yet... can't wait!!
