BlueSS, nice looking bike. That is a smart looking solution but I'd be very concerned about the leverage as you said.
My wife's a little squirt and I'd still worry about her putting weight on them (getting on and off anyway). Not that I have that problem - she really doesn't like riding pillion at all.

Anyhow, thanks for posting - the bike looks very sharp. You should put up a few full-bike shots just for the sake of vanity .... and so I can get a better look at your decals!! They look great from what I can see.

What actual colour is the bike - navy blue? (just a wild guess...)
