If the price is right, go for it. i rode an 01 from new until track day crash in 06 with not a single problem. was a race bike for a little while, street bike, track bike, street bike, and on and on. when i finally waded it up it was at 30k miles. Only mechanical engine things i did was a valve check at 25k, valves were almost perfect still, and put in a manual cam chain adjustor. thoes engines are damn near bulletproof. as for the other things like wheel bearings and crap like that. all of that is pretty cheap when considered. like i said, if the price is right, take it.
