Yup.. Painted it black to match the new seat. There are a few products available. I used a spray vinyl dye (worked like regular spray paint). I picked it up at a Checker Auto parts. Looks great, and after two or three weeks of daily riding, it has not rubbed off or scratched or anything. A new pad from Ducati is around $50.00. The paint and the double sided 3M tape you will need to reinstall it was around $10.00...

If you do it, you really need to remove the pad. I was actually going to do it in place, but Kappa recommended removing it. It is the best way. I was able to paint the back as well, and it looks more finished because of tit.
