You need the crank case vent. If you don't want to have it go to the airbox, then run it to a smaller K&N crank case filter and zip tie it up somewhere so it is captured. Make sure you seal of the hole in the airbox if you do remove it. I've decided to stick with my stock air box so I am leaving mine where it is.

how did you seal up the hole in the airbox ? just some round plastic and a glue gun ?
