Aside from a bracket or two I don't think a Mach 1 frame is any different than a Monza Frame, or any other narrow case 250 frame. If I were building a special I wouldn't worry too much about which model bike the frame came from. I'm not sure how you'd positively identify a Mach 1 frame anyway??? The books you've already ordered will have more info. I'm out of town right now so I can't check anything I have.

If you do find a frame that has documentation to show it's from a Mach 1, you're going to pay a premium for it. Since you haven't got any other Mach 1 parts, why bother?

I really think your best bet is going to be to find a somewhat complete Monza and start with that... it will be easier/cheaper in the long run.
