No I don't like it better than the 1000RR. The Suzuki has a monster motor - awesome midrange & hellacious topend, is super easy to work on & is really starting to steer great (now that I am sorting the geometry), but the chassis is kinda twitchy & the on/off throttle response is magnified by the impressive power output of the motor. So far my biggest complaint though is that it does not like to put that power down to the ground like the RR does & the overall feel is kinda vague from both ends. I still have faith though that alot of this can be sorted out it just doesn't happen overnight.
Ultimately it lacks the refinement & stability of the Honda which is what I prefer in my bikes & what I need to go fast within my comfort zone. Make no mistake though if I were racing for points & prize money I would be Suzuki all the way.
What this big Suzuki does do the best though is bring a smile to my face everytime I throw a leg over it & that is what it's really all about isn't it? I'm still in awe that Dan Kyle has given me the opportunity to work on it & get it sorted to my own liking.
