Default Question: differences b/n GSXR600 and SS1000 for track
I am starting to get into track days and am looking to get a dedicated track bike. I am considering a new GSXR600 or a new SS1000DS, and would appreciate your thoughts on the matter

I have two ducati's now (Monster 900sie and ST3) that I have loved riding.

In the past I have only ridden a Kawi ZX-6R on the track. I liked the bike fine, but the ergos were not good for me (I am 6'3" and felt really cramped) and the inline 4's lack the "spirit" of the ducs.

I would rather get the SS1000 because I like the longer reach to the bars and I love the v-twin. However I am curious about how this will compare to the GSXR in terms of performance and riding experience, since my riding budies all ride 600's.

Specifically I am wondering how the handling, feel and power of the duc vs. the GSXR would compare. BTW, max top end power is not as important to me as overall feel and ease of riding for a relative novice.
