Er, counter steering is a
direct steering force. This is turned into a larger inward force on the bikes head stock as that handle bar force is pivotted around the front tyre contact (with the road) patch ... making the bike lean into the corner
(see my much earlier post about this ...).
No gyroscopic magic (yes it part of the overall equation but not the cause of the increased lean angle), just you are pushing the bike over.
