3M makes a nice honeycomb tape and it comes in different colors. The stuff is very reflective and you could do anything you want with it. (Run a small 1/2" strip along fenders edge with the red tape) Just a thought.

Me thinks it would look alot better than the orange, would blend with the bike better, be less noticeable in daytime, more noticeable at night, and would give you more flexibility to do something different.
