Paid under $9k for my 2001 900ss, full fairing, brand new and that was over three years ago. If you're wedded to a half faired bike, I'm sure there at least several half fairing owners here who would swap for the full fairings (like saying I'll give you $1 for those three quarters IMHO).

Besides the oil, still in crate means that belts and tires are no good either. Will have to be changed before ridden.

Do yourself a favor, look around and get last year's 1000DS or 800SS model and mod as desired. I'm sure you'll be far happier...not to mention better swingarm, wheels, etc. on '01 and later bikes.
