I bought a 2000, yellow 1/2 faired 900SS last Summer; $5k, plus my old '87 Paso. Ballpark, around $8k in value I guess. I'm extremely happy with it because it's EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED! I didn't want the new 800.
I also got the full 2 year, unlimited warranty. I called Ducati USA to make sure.
