I went with the Pro Cutting basket and Barnett clutch pack (alum friction plates). The flywheel has been lightened by 2 pounds and is tight. The damage to the Nichols basket is due to excess clearance right from the start.

The Pro Cutting basket is set up with very little clearance between the tabs and basket slots. It'll be quiet and should last a long time. While I was at it I installed the Vee Two aluminum hub.

I'm not going to buy any more stock factory Ducati clutch parts - too short a life in my application.
