Yup, just pull it off. From the factory, the pad is held on with double sided automotive trim tape. Some people call it 3M tape which is a thick, very sticky, foam looking stuff... You can find it in any auto parts store that has a bodywork section. I don't think I would use glue of any kind to reinstall it though. It would have to set up, and I bet it would be hard to remove again if you had too. The 3M tape is a snap.
