Does anyone know if the main aluminum frame tubes are capped off (sealed) at the top (steering head) end? I have not had to service the steering head bearings yet, so I havent had a chance to see this area from the inside. I have been thinking about using the frame volume as a place to put a little more gas. That is assuming the frame isn't open at the top end. Along with re-working the underside of the tank to fit the engine contours better, (no airbox) it would add a lot of volume without changing the outside look of the tank.
