I will be powder coating my rims. Thus the reason for wanting to do an exhaust like that....i want to show off the rims. Been one of the first things as far as mods go that i've wanted to do with the bike since i got it.

Do you mind sharing with me some of the ins and outs of doing something like this? Probably not going to go so far as doing new header piping, but would like some hints and tips about the midpipe and can. If this is propietary information you can contact me at varium78@yahoo.com I don't mind signing a confidentiality agreement for you.
I'll probably powder coat the rims. I think its needs a little something. Id love to share with you the whole process of doing this but its pretty tough to throw down in writing. I cut the Jardine header pipe at the point where both pipes meet. I then took the pipe you see in the picture and widend the end by flaring it out. Then welded that and started my mid pipe. I got that to the point where it needed to start the bend. I dont have a pipe bender so it was a little tougher. Basically I by U-bend pipeing and cut that down at the bend I need. There was about 5 different bends that needed to be made and welded. You have to also modify the subframe to get the bend thru there. I got the pipe where it needed to be, then cut the can down as far as needed. Its hard to see in the pics but the under tail is aluminum. I formed that around the can and connects in a few different spots. Like I said I relocated all the electronics. I then drilled the 12 holes for my LED tailight/blinker and wired that into the factory wiring with some resistors, etc... I had to make spacers to widen the right foot peg about 1 in.

Its a pretty tough process believe me! I worked on this in my spare time so its hard to gauge how many hours are involved. Its kind of like on OCC when Paul Sr. yells at Paul Jr. Because its not going faster than it is.
